In the support of our Treatys and Land Stewardship committments, the Latgawa Native American Indian Tribe is dedicated to the use and operation of aircraft in several multimission profiles with additional emphasis on Disaster and Humantarian relief, Fire Fighting, and Security.
The Latgawa Native American Indian Tribe at this time also has several UH-1 Model helicopters undergoing restoration and modifications to support our increased need for aircraft.
Wildland Fire
Latgawa Native American Indian Tribe has highly experienced Tribal Members engaged in fighting Wildland Fires. This particular video of Tanker 62, "Redeeming Time" was captured and edited by Red Hawk. Note that some of the Heavy Air Tankers had just been released for flight operations after extensive safety inspections and reviews. The FAA and NIFC had grounded the entire heavy airtanker fleet months earlier due to the tragic loss of several aircraft and thier flight crews.
